    ……………………………………………………………………

After spending a few hours on the Rimouski river and a full day on the Matane me and the boys met up at Bonaventure for a few days. We wanted to fish for salmon , brook troute and catch mackerel with our spey rods in the Baie-Des-Chaleurs.

Thursday we went fishing the Hall river a small river where we can find nice trout as well as salmon. After a great BBQ on the shore we decided to go to Pasbébiac to see if we could find a place to fish for mackerel. When we arrived on the spot there we’re no fisherman but a local guy indicated to us where the mackerel where. The birds where diving right in front of us the scene was spectacular. After a few hours of fishing we finally managed to catch a mackerel on the fly something that seemed impossible for the locals watching us fish.

As for Saturday and Sunday the salmon where not responsive and we didn’t catch any but we had a great time this is what fishing is all about!.
