Have you heard of the New Zealand Red Setter?
This one was new to me. It was created by New Zealander Geoff Sanderson in 1941 and I found it in Mike Dawes’ “Fly Tier’s Companion.”
Hook: #8-10 long shank
Thread: Brown
Tail: Brown squirrel (or regular squirrel)
Body: Orange chenille
Hackle: Ginger or light brown
