Ahrex – Squiggle Worm – by Robin Philips
Fishing for rainbowtrouts in reservoirs in the cold months can be difficult and requires flies with extra life and movement to be able to trigger the trout. For this type of fishing we once again have had Swedish Robin Phillips in the studio to demonstrate his favorite fly to the cold months in his Put & Take homewaters. The Squiggle Worm – a super simple and super effective fly.
The long rubber tail combined with the distinctive thorax causes the fly to move alive from side to side when retrieving and up and down the water due to the bead. A fly that can really provoke and lure even the most inactive trout to an aggressive take.
