Provo River Euro Nymphing- Winter Elements
Winter is not only for playing in the snow and tying flies. Utah’s Provo River fishes well most days of the year, even when temperatures are hovering around or below freezing. Euro Nymphing (fly fishing technique) is a superior technique for fishing certain stretches of the Provo. It is an excellent way to get your flies in the right place, achieve an ideal drift, and detect strikes quickly. For tips and videos on this technique, including effective fly patterns, visit flytying123.com
Don’t let the cold discourage you! I highly recommend you take a break from your tying bench and YouTube, and venture out on your favorite river and catch some fish.
If you are looking for a guide I would be happy to show you the Provo river at its best regardless of the time of year. For details, questions, and professional inquiries contact me at
