Baitfish flies are a “must-have” in the box, even the most selective dry fly-sipping trouts can be tempted by a fast fleeing baitfish-imitation and forget that the menu is only on small hatching caddis or may-flies. For the coastal-flyfishing we have had the skilled fly-tyer and fly-fisherman John Maduro in the studio to demonstrate his favorite fly – The Flatwing Baitfish – for his favorite fishing for bass along the Irish and English coastlines. A fish imitation as good as this should be in every fly box – give it a try.
