Fortress Lake Hummingbirds

Each year we arrive at Fortress Lake Retreat late May, just after ice comes off the lake. There is little flushing of vegetation and the bright red hummingbird feeders garner a lot of attention. Of course, it’s also mating season. Combined, the best food source and the aggressiveness of mating sees some aggressivecolrful little birds! Our guests are certainly entertained. This is simply for those who enjoy hummingbirds.
