Fly Tying with Jo Stephenson – The Bonefish Series – The “Spawning Shrimp”
Here is a series that will be perfect for fly anglers looking to learn some new patterns for their arsenal. Some of you might already know or have even fished with our amazing guide, Jo Stephenson, but did you know that she is also a very very talented fly tying on top of being a great guide?
This brand new series is going to see Jo showing you some of her top patterns when it comes to targeting a specific species, whether that be chasing the hard fighting, saltwater beast that is the Giant Trevally or shallow wading for stunning freshwater Salmon with dry flies.
We are going into the fifth episode of the Bonefish series with one of the best flies for hooking up with the ghosts of the flats. Here Jo will be talking you through how to tie the “Spawning Shrimp” by Enrico Puglisi, which is used to imitate a Shrimp in its “spawning” phase, with some shrimp species exhibit an orange egg mass.
