Fly Tying the Bleeding Schlappen Leech Fly Pattern
The Bleeding Schlappen leech is a fly I developed for fishing shallow to medium depth lakes in Alberta. I fish the fly in water 8-20 feet deep and like to fish the fly by casting it out letting it sink and using a slow retrieve to bring it in. I get some aggressive strikes with this fly pattern.
