Fly fishing for big brown trout is most like bow hunting. It’s all about knowing where big browns live, what big brown trout habitat looks like and when & where to target them in what habitat. Big brown trout simply aren’t stacked in streams like this one and while there aren’t many brown trout per kilometer, you can’t simply run between likely water. Brown trout will nose into the subtlest water so long as escape cover is close at hand. In this video we take on Dave’s favorite stream and share moments of joy and heartbreak in the tiniest of water with brown trout 6 to 9lbs. It’s one heck of an epic brown trout stream.
