I do enjoy fishing wet flies it can be great fun and sometimes it is the only way to get some sport. It is however not the most efficient way of catching fish. I find that from every offer its less than a 50/50 chance that the fish sees the net.
This is maybe a little heavier dressed than some would like their wet flies but it is tied with the point in mind of a three fly set up. I find it is best tied in #14 and #16 but has been tied here on a #12 for demonstration purposes.
I have used Heron fibres for this version but you can use pheasant tail as an alternative and any hen hackle will work for the hackle. Just use what you have and don’t forget to let me know how you get on in the comments section below.
