Griffith's Gnat (Midge Pattern) – Trout Fly Tying for Beginners
Another super easy fly pattern, the Griffith’s Gnat is a surprisingly effective general midge pattern. Developed by George Griffith, one of the founders of Trout Unlimited, this fly will work almost anywhere.
Hook: Dry fly #16-22
Thread: Black
Body: Peacock herl (can substitute with fur for other colors)
Hackle: Grizzly dry fly hackle
