Variation on the Clouser

Widely regarded as one of the most versatile salt water patterns of all time – The Clouser Minnow.

Originally designed by Bob Clouser to fish for smallmouth bass in the late 80’s, the Clouser Minnow has caught fish all over the world in both fresh and salt water. My experience of salt water fishing is limited to the Everglades and the Florida Keys. But even with this limited knowledge I was aware of this fly. I will be going to America next year and I will be giving some of these a swim for Salmon.

I know some guys that if they were reduced to one fly for the salt they would use this one!
