The Beadhead Serendipity

Originally created by Ross Marigold of Montana, the Serendipity has been an effective pattern since the 1970s. This version with the bead was a Craig Matthews version and has likewise been a popular nymph.

Hook: #14-20 curved shank
Bead: Brass or tungsten, sized to the hook
Thread: Black
Weight: 0.015″ wraps
Body: Antron, Z-lon or flash, twisted into a rope
Thorax: Hare’s mask or comparable spiky dubbing
