Mosca Ahogada – Drowned Fly. Traditional fly from Leon, Spain using Gallo de Leon
This is an attempt to try and tie a traditional Spanish fly pattern from Leon using the famous Gallo de Leon. Most fly tiers know this feather as Coq de Leon the French translation of Gallo de Leon. These feathers are from Spain.
If you are interested in the history of the region you can research the El Manuscrito de Astorga from 1624.
