High Water Worm Trout Fly

The High Water Worm is a great choice to use when waters get a little colored up after a bit of rain. It is recommended to tie this one as a point fly in tandem with a heavier bead head nymph. I tie this in a big range of wormy colors like pink, red, orange, brown, tan, and green. The fly combines elements of a cactus egg and a San Juan Worm.
You can use either the standard or the petit size of Estaz. Be sure to leave lots of room behind the eye so that your head does not get crowded.
