Fly Tying The Cinnamon CDC Sedge Fly Pattern for Trout, Grayling and other Panfish
The Cinnamon CDC Sedge is a perfect little fly for hunting trout in small streams with lots of structure and pockets. I like casting this fly behind large rocks and fallen trees on small eastern creeks and mountain brooks. The pattern is simple, just a little CDC and dry fly hackle. I’m using a whiting saddle hackle for this fly. I bought a Dark Barred Ginger saddle and it contains not only the dark barred ginger feathers but also light and medium barred ginger, golden badger, furnace and even a few nice sections of Cree color.
