Fly Fishing on the Wiltshire Avon

“Sometimes you kick, sometimes you get kicked” Inxs if you are of a certain age and have an ear for good music you will recognise this famous lyric. Never has it been so true as it was when I shot this video!

I like to think I am good to go fishing in all conditions this was a day that I will remember for the misery more than the fishing. I was already feeling damp and wet but after falling over a log and into the river I nearly packed up. The rain was relentless barring a brief respite where I managed to snag a few trout.

The video is a lot shorter than I had hoped but this was due to my day being cut short. I will return on a better day and hopefully deliver the video I want to make about this very special stretch of river.
