A Humpy variation
From C. Boyd Pfeiffer’s “Simple Flies,” this simplified Humpy only uses three materials. A single tuft of deer hair serves as the tail, the hump and the wing.
Hook: #12-16 dry fly
Thread: Any, or color to match the body
Body: Floss or dubbing, any color
Tail/hump/wing: Deer hair
Hackle: Dry fly, any color
