Lee Wulff – A video tribute
An extraordinary and rare historical footage filmed and produced by famous danish/american flytier Poul Jorgensen.
Filmed in late fall 1990 only a few months before Lee Wulff died of a heart attack in 1991 while flying his Piper Super Cub and crashed in a wooded area near Hancock, New York. This footage may possible be the last showning Lee Wulff alive.
Watch Lee Wulff tying a White Wolff and a #28 midge only with his hands – and without a vice! This 26 minutes footage shows Lee Wulff landing at Catskills, and hereafter having a fly tying session with Poul Jorgensen while speaking af a life dedicated to fly fishing.
“This is a true contribution to the history of fly fishing”
In respect to Poul Jorgensen and his legacy we at scandicangler.com encourages everyone to donate to the The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum. The Catskill Fly Fishing Center and Museum is a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to preserving the heritage of fly fishing in the Catskills.
